Getting Started

Rules

  1. No griefing. Griefing applies to defacing areas that are not your own. There is plenty of room for everyone.
  2. Respect other players. Pretty much sums it all up.
  3. Obey server staff. This consists of Admins and Mods.
  4. PvP is permitted, but only in moderation. However, constant bullying will not be tolerated.

Linking Your Account

When you first join the server, you will be assigned the default permissions... which is not very much. In order to rank up to Member (which will allow you to do more, see the Ranks page for more info) -- simply type the following command in the server: /sync <username> <password> (without the brackets, substituting your PureKill.com username and password). That's it! From now on, your Minecraft username is linked with your account here.

Protecting your Stuff

We have Deadbolt enabled on the server, which allows you to protect doors, fence gates, trap doors, chests, furnaces, and dispensers. To use it, all you need is a sign. The first line of the sign should be [Private]. That's all you need to get started! Press Done and it will automatically fill your username in.

You can specify more users by typing their names in the 3rd and 4th lines. You can also use the 4th line to type in [Timer:4] (or any number 1-9) to put a door/gate/trap door on a timer to close after a few seconds.

If you need more room to add more users, place a sign next to your first one with [More Users] as the first line. For more documentation, visit the Deadbolt project page on BukkitDev.

Protecting your Blocks

Residence is installed on our server, which allows you to claim and protect areas for a small price. Chests within this area are automatically protected. To get started, find or build a home and equip the Residence selection tool (which is the arrow on our server). Left click the bottom block on one side to set the first position. Then, right click the top block diagonally across from the first position. (See diagram below)

After these two positions are set, type /res create (where is replaced by what you want to call your area). You will be charged 0.05 Coins per block within the area. Your areas will auto-renew at 0.02 coins per block when using the /res lease renew command. See below for a visual guide of the above. See the Residence Command List for more advanced usage.

Creating and Using Chest Shops

Since this is a little more in depth, you will find a tutorial video below on how to create and use a chest shop. Please keep in mind, creating Chest Shops is available for Members and above. Each chest shop costs 100 gold. You may want to protect this chest shop with Lockette, which is detailed at the top of the page.

mcMMO

mcMMO is a plugin that lets you gain experience and special abilities for things you're already going to do. If you do a lot of mining, you will earn new abilities to mine faster, and produce more drops. If you fight with swords, you will gain abilities to parry and make your enemies bleed to death.

For more information on mcMMO, check out the official Skills and Commands pages. For more information, type /mcmmo or /mcc in-game.
